Vernon Della

I had stomach upset the other day and after taking a Pepcid that does not solve the problem I think what else I would do my stomach feel better. Then I remembered Ginger Ale. Yeah, Ginger Ale, that always makes my stomach feel better and that's good too.
Then I got to think why not ginger ale make me feel better. So, after drinking most of the box, I went to the computer and looked up Ginger Ale on the Internet. Here's what I found:
Ginger Ale has been around since 1851 (about 35 years older than Coca Cola) was first established in Ireland. Then in the 1890s, a Canadian named
John McLaughlin, a pharmacist, has launched a soft drink company in Toronto. There, carbonated water mixed with fruit juices and flavors to create different types of soft drink which was sold at a soda fountain in the company. Her version of ginger ale was called McLaughlin Belfast Style Ginger Ale. The Ginger Ale was a little dark and a strong flavor.
By the early 1900s, After several improvements to the recipe, McLaughlin improved Ginger Ale, that was a lot lighter in color and this has caused marked improvment in taste extremely sharp. This new and improved Ginger Ale was patented by John McLaughlin that Canada Dry Pale Dry Ginger Ale.
Well, it seems there is a challenger for the oldest variety of Ginger Ale. This is a guy by the name of James Vernon, an American in Detroit Michigan.
Mr. Vernon, who at age 15, began working in a drug store and was apparently very bright climbed the levels, so to speak, sitting forward for councils and transmission of Pharmacy State to take a pharmacist (I see a pattern here.)
Along the way, Mr. Vernon is also experimenting with ginger ale colored gold that was imported from Ireland and became a very popular drink across the United States. He also experimented with this dark beer to go with a distinctive flavor of its own.
While there were many others are experimenting with Ginger Ale in the state during that time, Vernon brand Ginger Ale while only sold in a limited area the country seems to be very popular.
OK, so we know when it was created, but what exactly is it and why do my stomach feel better. It is a mixture of sugar, ginger root, lemon juice, yeast and water. Some recipes also include vanilla and a herb called stevia, who is from Paraguay, is remarkably noncaloric and is extremely soft.
After a little investigation I found that ginger root has been known for years to be a useful medicine for digestive system disorders (alright here we Go &) It is extremely useful in dyspepsia (upset stomach), colic, vomiting, flatulence and other pains that affect the stomach and intestines.
I even found a recipe for a simple home remedy that includes:
1 / 2 teaspoon fresh ginger juice1 teaspoon fresh lime juice1 teaspoon fresh mint juice1 tablespoon honey
Mix all the above together and take 1 tablespoon 3 times daily for dyspepsia, nausea and vomiting, indigestion caused by eating heavy non-vegetarian fried or fatty foods, morning sickness, or jaundice.
Apparently, Ginger is an excellent remedy against coughs and colds, and when the juice of ginger mixed with honey can be taken 3 to 4 times a day for cough. It is also an excellent analgesic and ginger juice can be used in the ear to stop an earache or rubbing the power of ginger dry with a little water to form a paste
can be applied on the forehead to stop a headache or outside of the jaw to stop a toothache (I'm not sure I believe these last two.) Anyway, I do not get to my original topic.
I do not think I discovered some things about Ginger Ale and why he is still my stomach feel better when I drink a little. By the way, I prefer Schweppes Ginger Ale, which is also without caffeine (in fact I think they all are). I tried several types and brands of Ginger Ale and just prefer Schwepps better. By the way, Contrary to some like Vernon, which is only available in certain regions of the country, Schweppes is available everywhere.
So next time you have upset stomach, you may want to try my remedydrink a can of Ginger Ale.
