Using a cutting plate or tray?
I found a beautiful project photos pasted on the underside of a plate clear. Can a plate like that actually be used for eating and washing? What type of varnish should I use? What type of varnish is best for a plate of food?
I saw how they make an exhibition of handicrafts, decorative style, years ago. Yes, the plates are always eating there, because the adhesive and sealant are on the underside of the plate. Once they are sealed, they are ok for Hand washing only (no dishwasher). You can do it on the cups, jugs, etc., as it is on the opposite side of where the food is. I can not remember the type of sealant they used, I know they put on two layers. You can visit the old Garnish with craft-style shows on hgtv.com, but it might be easier to talk to someone at Michael's, they seem to have everything in their stores!
