The Company Arzberg, since 1887 has represented the most High quality materials and design. Known for their simple, no frills designs, so timeless as to always remain contemprary. Heinrich Schumann, originating of Angelroda (Thuringia), had a small pottery in Arzberg who have had to close because it was in the way railway newly built. The path job was completed in November 1879 and Arzberg connected with the railway network.
In 1931, Arzberg Form 1382 is a reference in modern dishes. It's celebrating its 75th anniversary and its design is unchanged. Like his contemporaries at the Bauhaus, Dr.Ing. Hermann Gretsch relied on the form and function to guide its design. His quest was to design a tureen that could be emptied with a ladle.
