What are some good suggestions for good quality, but not too expensive dishes and cooking utensils table for a gift?
My favorite look right now is the Sango Nova sets. They are very beautiful w / warm regards and earthy tones, and at prices I can work with, but according to reviews, crack spontaneously after very light use. I Just Want nice looking, affordable and sustainable Cookware (lasagna and casserole dishes) and dinnerware. No silicone. Thank you in advance!
Pyrex or Corningware pots for … No doubt! As for pots to go with a good iron stove. A cottage or even a glazed one. One enamel is a bit expensive, but if it is supported both should last forever and a day. I have one who was my great-grams the turn of the century, and use it all the time. Try to put quality above looks. It is more important in the long term. If it will be used often who cares how it looks. It'll get something burned in it and then finally washed and stored in the refrigerator and so on and so on and probably something with children and a dog thrown in there too. 
If it's going to be more to hang a "decorative" a pot holder … let them buy it themselves. It is they who have to watch it. With dishes go for a plain white or off white, which somehow Scema in the kitchen / dining room this game.
