1939 Royal Ecole Normale Superieure for blind students briefly evacuated Maytham Hall, Rolvenden, Kent?
I took a few Braille cards for Christmas based on Maytham Hall as it was in 1939, as early responses would be greatly appreciated. I would be delighted to hear someone who was evacuated to Maytham Hall. There were two exercises, one in 1938, after "international crisis" and again (for good this time) in 1939. I understand that the evacuees were blind or visually impaired, but the wonder of email (and Yahoo Answers) is that we can, regardless of sensory communicate without having to Braille.
Hi had a look on Google for information, and could not find anything. Have you tried to contact the RNIB to see if they have historical documents that you can see? Paul
