Rose Oval
How can you kill the beetles eating our brown rose petals?

We live in Australia and have noticed that there are many brown beetle about 15mm long, oval bodies that can steal our eating rose petals. I know I've seen around before on the footy fields because they like the big fires. They also seem to be around in the warmer weather. They are really annoying and we would like to know what they are and how to get rid of them. Also, will they destroy our newly planted vegetable patch?

Hello, It looks like increased baldness, which generally occur when you have a hot sunny day came right on the heels of a day.It rain does not hurt the plant itself and theres not much you can do about it expect that the more flowers to grow back. Now for the insect Tiny holes.Flea are the most likely cause of this situation and they are difficult to see because that is the size of a grain of pepper and the color is a shimmering brown. They will jump when you touch or shake the plant even when they jump it is difficult to see if you want to examine the plant closely before touching it to you have the chance to see them before they become away.I days of pepper spray on about 5 days to prevent them from harming the plant. or u can also mix together in a watering can – a few squirts of Ivory dishsoap few spoonfuls of borax & Fill with water. Pour this all over to pour the solution on them, they recovered very well. All new leaves grew and bloomed again
