Deeper Meaning in The Tale of Peter Rabbit?

I have to analyze and interpret an important piece of literature. I chose The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, but I'm a bit stuck. Could you help me find ideas for what the deeper meaning is?

I suppose you could make a case that it is OK to rob the rich, but it must be good at it or you will be baked in a pie.
