Most Thangkas are painted on a canvas. Some are painted on paper or leather. Others are embroidered, applique, patchwork fabrics and thangkas, but other forms theSketching are not discussed here. Technically taking title = "thangka painting"> painted thangka is divided into four stages.
Preparation of Foundation:

Sketching
