For a restful, green getaway, try the fishing camp at Galibore, about 100 km from Bangalore in India. Here, you will have the rare opportunity to be active in your own easy pace.
It takes more than an hour away to Kanakpura through a road with millions of nests hen and a shrinking number of unusual places. Hidden in the deciduous forest about 10km from Sangam, on the banks of the Cauvery river, you can actually miss the camp and pass it, so well hidden is the place. The place has enormous Terminalia Arjuna trees lining both sides of the river and there is little large signs announcing its creation. There are no paved roads and seriously feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. And as the trees parted to let you pass voila! Here's a scene as beautiful as any picture, the flow River Cauvery softly at a little distance, Pucca tents lining one side each with its own outdoor hammock, deep green forests and few other things!
You are thrown in a coracle, a light boat that looked more like a basket of oval form, and you take off downstream. It is beautiful. Swaying gently in the breeze, rippling water around you float past green and greener. Galibore 16 km downstream of Bheemeshwari, the famous camp angling Mahseer. You can choose to trek up Bheemeshwari coracle then return to camp.
Reaching the tent you will find the black absolute. Fumble around – no switches. No bulb, no lights, no switches. Yes, no electricity.
There is indeed no electricity, except for light instead of the tube to eat together. Hurricane lamps are provided at the front of the tent and the back of the tent
GALIBORE BASICS
Advance booking is essential for a long stay at the fishing camp Galibore. Cost for a day excursion is $ 60, including all meals. You can book your stay on the phone. But the payments on the site are in cash only. The culmination of the camp is the Catch-and-release method of mahseer great, and customers are provided with local fishing guides to enjoy fully. Coracle rides, fishing and walking in nature are other options here.
