Lord Nelson
Why is Lord Nelson known to be the greatest naval hero Britians?

Why ???????

Horatio Nelson 1st Viscount Nelson, 1st Duke of Bronte, KB (29 September 1758 to October 21, 1805) was a British officer known for his involvement in the Napoleonic Wars especially at the Battle of Trafalgar, British decisive victory in the war, during which he lost his life [1]. Nelson went against the tactic of time by cutting through the enemy lines. Nelson was noted for his ability to inspire and bring out the best of his men, to the point that it gained a name: "The Touch" Nelson. His actions during these wars and his heroic image as a one-armed, one-eyed patriot, ensure that before and after his death he was revered. In 1798, when he was married since 1787, Nelson was drawn into famous an affair with Emma, Lady Hamilton, wife of William Hamilton, British ambassador to Naples, which lasted until his death. Emma became the mistress Nelson, back in the United Kingdom to live openly with him, and finally they had a daughter, Horatia. At the time of his death in 1805, Nelson became a national hero, and he received a state funeral. His memory lives in many monuments, the most notable of which is London's Nelson's Column, which is the center of Trafalgar Square.
