What is the wire green / yellow stripes on a slight movement?
My girlfriend bought a light fixture and motion is not the normal 2 son fixture. Should I install a 3 way switch for lighting? The house has only one black and white, the son, not red, green, yellow. Usually yellow is hot and green is ground but what is this thread? It is 25 years. Thus, he tape should be good? Alright I got it working now I must find ways to set the timer and all the other crap, lol. Thank you
This is the ground wire. It should not be connected to anything, but field. Ground is another green wire or bare copper wire or metal enclosure of the box if it is connected to a metal conduit to the earth. If wiring your house is old, you may have a system without merit. Tape the wire green / yellow and does not connect to anything if you do not have a motive.
