Fireplace screen?
I just bought a fireplace screen to go in front of the fireplace … We have a screen that slides before the fire but the flames out or move the ball and sometimes they have implemented. I had the screen so that the custom chat was before the fire and the risk of injury by flying embers or hot rolling balls on him. But we have noticed that even if the screen is metal / mesh … it appears to block a lot of heat. I was wondering if it acts as a heat sink, the heat hits the metal screen that sits on ceramic tile. If you move the screen it is really hot in the room very quickly. Anyone else experience this?
Screens do not block much heat. In a poorly designed chimney more than 50% of heat can be returned to the fireplace and chimney. I think most people end up not using the screen unless they leave the room – they use it for security. Regarding your cat – which is a dilemma.
