Dr Stuart Devlin, Fred Rich and Ornella Iannuzzi were among the artists who had more success in the 2009 Craft and Design Awards. The awards, which are organized by vessels of the Goldsmiths and Design Council, were presented at a ceremony with great pomp at the hotel of Goldsmiths' in City of London.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation by Stuart Devlin with the Craft and Design Council's Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Devlin received this award in recognition of his "outstanding contribution and commitment to craft and jewelry industry, jewelry and Allied Crafts. Speaking of his work, Robert Devlin said: "I hope that my work reflects the four maxims: 1) the future is much more important than the past 2) that creativity is paramount, and 3) that is basic skills, 4) the justification for a goldsmith is to enrich the way people live and work. "

Fred Rich added to his vast collection of Craft and Design Council Awards winning the Gold Smiths' Company Award (with co-creators Christopher Lawrence and Stan Brettell) for Silver beautiful crockery and glazed Jug. Fred Rich has also won the Gold Award in the enamel (Senior) category for her money 18 and 22ct gold enamel pitcher and dishes.
