China Hand

China Hand
I try to identify a porcelain plate painted by hand?

I bought an older plate appears to be painted hand. The only identifying marks are the words "North" painted on the back and the three straight lines which are each about 1 / 2 " long that are actually in the grooves of China. Can anyone identify for me and is it worth anything? The "North" hand painted the same color the flowers on the front and the three brands are at the bottom left of that. The design on the front is red & flower buds and leaves of a green-gray back ground is mottled blue-gray discoloration to yellow, pink & tan deep.

I hate to be picky, but I need more than that. Is the "N word" machine printed or hand painted? What conception forward? And what color is clay, as bright white, cream or terra cotta? So where are your grooves? If they are placed around the base in a circle and fired up foot rim, they may just be lying points, oven stilts, the thing that holds a plaque placed on a shelf where it is fire if the glaze does not weld the kiln. If, however, your lines are in some sort of model line, they could be a logo or a Maker's Mark, and if your "North" is written, you could have an interesting piece. I suggest an antiquity Dealer would be happy to discuss with you, or there "What is it ceramic? books there, but it is difficult to be more useful without a longer description, or better yet, a photo.
