Is it OK to grow a terrarium in a bowl without a lid?
I have a glass bowl big enough that I want to start a terrarium, but I no cover for it. Will it work forever? As anyone who has made a terrarium I'd like to hear any advice you can give. Looking to make a really easy with only a few plants just to see how it goes. Thank you
Not using a cover is. Be sure to file a layer of pebbles at the very bottom. The layer must be several centimeters thick. This layer in the earth allow water to flow if the roots do not get mushy and die. It also gives the roots some room to grow more. Be sure to inspect factories real before planting together. Look under al leaves and stems for small white insects that are often plants that we buy in the store. If you find the plants sprayed real well with some alcohol and water mixture. It will kill the insects in a few days if it is done you spray under the leaves and around the stem. After a few days washing plants under a faucet to wash in running off with the spray and the excess bugs. You are now ready to plant there. Have fun watching them grow up in a beautiful setting.
